Urethral Incontinence
Medications can be used for urethral incontinence. These might include alpha-adrenergic agonist drugs that are used to treat urethral incontinence. These medications actually stimulate the urethral sphincter muscle causing it to contract.Urinary incontinence refers to unintentional urine loss during physical activity such as laughing, coughing or even sneezing. Basically this is caused by a bladder storage problem resulting from a weakened pelvic muscle. The sphincter is sometimes unable to prevent urine flow when there is pressure on the abdomen. This is known as stress incontinence.
Treatments vary, such as the one mentioned above however there are many others. Various tests must be conducted by health professionals, such as abdominal and rectal exams and a genital exam for men and a pelvic exam for females.
